Concentration... a start.

Here is my first attempt at making a movie poster. it is unfinished... mainly because i don't have pictures of the "actors" yet (in the fine print at the bottom there are some things like, "in association with MALE ACTOR..." soooo, still a work in progress. but def a step toward something cool.

Another Bredth piece down. I made this in photo class and decided it was sweet, so it ended up in my art file...

Mountain Climber Sketch

I have finished the cans piece, as well as a couple others. I have my shiny objects piece done and I did a figure study with Janelle. I have also started sketching out my next piece. Here's some pics of all that!

CANS!!

I've been working on this crumpled can piece this week and hopefully will have it finished soon. I have also been starting a little work on concentration, so hopefully I can post an update on that soon. For now, here are a few pics of my can piece!

Bredth the Third

I thought it was a little bland, so Janelle suggested a pencil outline, and it does look a little better, but I'm considering outlining it with a thin brown pen. is that a good idea, or should I leave as is?

Two Behind, 27 Ahead!

Background for Second Bredth

I tried out something I thought might be cool with this - I took a screen and laid it on a bunch of scrap paper. Then I took the hot glue gun and made some swirly patterns on it. I soaked it in water to get the paper off the back, and then I put it under my piece while I put in a background. I don't know if it looks good or not.

3rd Blog of the day!

So a great idea just happened to me for my concentration should I do design. I think it would be sweet to take a book I have read and make it into a movie... like, design the title, make posters, newspaper ads, etc. So that is now my number one idea for my concentration. and no, I do not have any specific books in mind yet. Hey Stromberg, for a design concentration, can you do a layout for a website as one piece??

Concentration...?

So apparently we were supposed to post about our concentration ideas... or at least everyone else did, so im guessing thats the deal. but no one told me, so i have no idea.

Anyway. I really don't know yet. That depends on if I do drawing or design... slash if my rents let me use the computer for design. So for now, I will have to think about both.

If I do design: I would prefer using images that involve people, cause I like my work better when people are involved. I am not sure what I would do with that however. Some kind of organization?? I could do some kind of product that would involve people, like vacuums with people vacuuming. But that was an example and I am for sure not interested in vacuums. So pretty much I dont know except that I am not so much interested in, for example, making up a toothpick company that only would have pictures of little sticks.... Yeah. People.

If I do drawing: Hey guess what, I still like people. animals are also acceptable. So possibly I was thinking I could pick up with the Biblical theme I had last year (Revelation) and maybe I could do something with creation. On the other hand, I am trying not to do anything the same/very similar to what I did last year, so that would only really work for me if I made sure it looked a lot different.... or I could try to think of something completely different that would have a more abstract idea behind it (?). I used watercolor last year, and that is my best medium... so I might consider using it again, though I would either mix it up more than last year, or stick with it more. (see the TRIBULATION pic in my slide show for an example of my concentration last year...)

So there is some rambling about my concentration. I have come to the conclusion that whatever I do, it will in some way, shape or form, involve people... yay. Other than that, Im still thinking.

Starting Bredth...

I started the first Bredth piece. and here's a pic of it being started. except I took it with photobooth on my mac, cause I had it in the art room... so its backwards.
