I have finished the cans piece, as well as a couple others. I have my shiny objects piece done and I did a figure study with Janelle. I have also started sketching out my next piece. Here's some pics of all that!
I've been working on this crumpled can piece this week and hopefully will have it finished soon. I have also been starting a little work on concentration, so hopefully I can post an update on that soon. For now, here are a few pics of my can piece!
I thought it was a little bland, so Janelle suggested a pencil outline, and it does look a little better, but I'm considering outlining it with a thin brown pen. is that a good idea, or should I leave as is?
I love to celebrate life and explore the emotions we experience in it. I find everything around me amazing, and I hope to share that point of view through my art. I have used all kinds of mediums to do this in the past, but in recent years have come to focus mainly on digital art, largely because of the great possibilities it opens up for working with colors. Digital art also helps me to convey my awe for the world by bringing real images into play. I often take photos of things we see all the time and try to bring out the beauty and passion in them. The emotions my works convey are what really make them meaningful. I hope that my work can stir up some kind of emotional response in my viewers when they connect with my images. Some say life is dull and mundane, but when I look around and experience the world, I can conclude it is anything but that.
