So it's been a while since I have posted any new art, but I'm back! I am currently preparing to participate in a show called Goghing Digital at Tenn Street Coffee and Books here in Denver that will be opening in November. I'm exploring with some new ideas and you will be seeing some work here soon that is definitely a new style for me.
Above are two of the pieces I have been working on recently. They are both digital images created from photos I took. They both explore the underlying colors present in the images - obviously the first one is a little more of an extreme interpretation.
I love to celebrate life and explore the emotions we experience in it. I find everything around me amazing, and I hope to share that point of view through my art. I have used all kinds of mediums to do this in the past, but in recent years have come to focus mainly on digital art, largely because of the great possibilities it opens up for working with colors. Digital art also helps me to convey my awe for the world by bringing real images into play. I often take photos of things we see all the time and try to bring out the beauty and passion in them. The emotions my works convey are what really make them meaningful. I hope that my work can stir up some kind of emotional response in my viewers when they connect with my images. Some say life is dull and mundane, but when I look around and experience the world, I can conclude it is anything but that.
